Is Enagic A Scam? Top 10 Things You Need To Know

Here is my honest review of Enagic company and their business model

Coming to this blog post, I want to infer that you must have seen some video and text adverts on social media platforms where someone will be telling emotional stories of their lives and how they eventually stumbled on a particular business and changed their life financially to the point that they quit their job to focus on the business.

The truth is that you will never hear them mention the  name of the business and what they do. Rather, they will emphasize that you will become your own boss and that there are no hidden costs after you have registered.

One of those companies is called Enagic. Below are the top 10 things you need to bear in mind before you part ways with your money in the name of becoming your own boss through this company.

Top 10 Things You Need To Know About Enagic

1. Company Name: Enagic, a Japan-based MLM water filtration company allowing people to drink “healthier water”. Although their promoters will tell you during recruiting process that they are not MLM. As soon as you join, you will see they’re ;ying. They did that to me and I asked for a refund.

2. Owners: Hironari Oshiro. I admire his marketing strategies in terms of products quality.(rating 9/10)

3. Website URL: www.enagic.com

4. Product: Water Filtration/ Ionization Machines.

5. Product Price: Minimum of $1,980 and you must buy a package and you must recruit downlines who must also repeat the process, before you can become a full member that can earn money.

6. Sign Up Fee/Cost: $160 (non-refundable after joining their video call), but I was able to get my money back because I paid with Paypal. I told Paypal I needed a refund because the company did not tell me before joining that they run MLM business, which I am not interested in.

7. Their video calls and training are handled by a different agency separated from Enagic. You pay a non-refundable $160 to that agency for the training. Don’t expect to start the training immediately. No, you will not be allowed in until you have chosen a business package, where you must buy some of their products.

8. Health claims are not proven and customers you sell their products to won’t likely repeat orders (unless the product breaks!). To be fair with Enagic, they have high quality products, but they all come with high price, because of the addition of commissions paid to their members.

9. They have long history (established in 1974).

10. They have managed to get some accreditation. They would have gained more ethical reputations if they had not incorporated MLM business model into their strategies.

Watch their presentation here explaining more details about the company…

Also, Mike Beatty has done a comprehensive review about Enagic on his website. If you have the time, you can read the whole story here…

In summary...

Although Enagic is not a scam, but the prices of those water filtration products are extremely and unreasonably high.

I would not want to sell such products to my family and friends at that inflated price.

If you look up their price for a pack of tumeric, you will see a bogus $1,980. Check the same pack of tumeric on Amazon, and you will see them in 2 digits instead of 4 digits promoted by Enagic.

Two major reason I asked for a refund from them:

1. Over-priced products, which I cannot recommend to any family and friend, not even to someone I do not know.

2. I was convinced by one of their partners/promoters to believe that it’s not an MLM business only to discover it’s a high grade MLM business which I am allergic to and because I already got my fingers burnt with many of them in the past, this is a no-no for me.

So, what is the way out...what is my recommendation for those who want to start a legit online business with low capital?
